but when your friend change this setting in file you and your friends will be not see skins - but u can see this when your friend add to server plugin named: Skins Restored. This plugin (like a lot of plugins) need another server engine than vanilla. Most popular are paper, spigot, purpur etc. I suggest select paper - its very lightweight and more server friendly than classic spigot and ofc vanilla
@respectful-iguana i got my friend to change the setting but it still doenst work
you need to change enforce-secure-profile to false too in newer Minecraft versions
(you need to relaunch the server after that btw)
